Month: February 2017

The Behr Necessities Monthly Roundup: February 2017

February has been a rewarding month in terms of the content that I’ve consumed, and I’m really excited to share my favourite content this month, with you.

Video – Theresa May: Role Model

Who needs to watch it? Every woman and every girl.

What I loved about this video:

  1. The politics are irrelevant. No doubt, that Theresa May is aware of every single point Jeremy Corbyn makes. And no doubt she has an issue with them. BUT. As the leader of the United Kingdom she makes a strong, passionate and inspiring arguement, making it clear who’s boss and why.
  2. Theresa May’s conviction is something to learn from and emulate. As a leader, there’s no doubt that there are times that you have to make unpopular decisions. But when, as a leader, you backup your decision with conviction and a solid arguement, you have the ability to win people over.
  3. Theresa May is so strong and so smart. And she doesn’t apologize for it. She’s a role model for every woman; she’s a role model for every girl. Her important message: stand strong, be prepared and fight for what you believe in. And never apologize for being amazing.

  4. This is a fascinating and easy read. And there are even practical tips to help you change your own habits.

InspHERation: Emma Butin – Innovator, Strategic Advisor & Teacher

Emma Butin is an innovator, strategic advisor, teacher and lecturer at IDC. I met up with her to discuss her thoughts about small businesses, strategies and success, and learned of her profound love for Israel and her passion in promoting its prosperity.

I first heard Emma Butin speak at Temech’s 7th annual conference where she intrigued me with an inspiring talk about the DNA of billion dollar companies. Since then, Shaindy Babad, CEO of Temech, and an inspiring woman in her own right, has brought Emma back to Temech to teach Emma’s “Prosperity from Within” course which teaches women how small tweaks to their business can make a tremendous difference to their bottom line results. I am a participant in the course.

Israel – Land of the Entrepreneur

After learning that Emma was born in Israel, that she moved to America at age 13 and then returned at age 26, I wondered why. What caused Emma to come back? Her immediate answer was “this is the place to be.” Sure, Emma says, Israel isn’t only a “startup Mecca” it “creates a lot of opportunities for people that are really driven,” but beyond that Emma explained that she is here, because in her words “Israel is in my DNA. I really love this country. There is no other logical explanation.”

What is Womencentric Marketing and Why Is it Important?

women power

What is womencentric marketing?

Womencentric marketing is the marketing strategy that puts women at the front and centre of its campaigns. It is the recognition of women as a strong and economic buying power and it is important, in and of itself, not only for women, but for society and for corporations. And not only because it makes financial sense.

How does womencentric marketing differ from femvertising?

In a nutshell, womencentric marketing is the approach, femvertising is the execution. Womencentric marketing is the multi-faceted and comprehensive plan that includes market research, market strategies, public relations, consumer support, positioning, pricing et al.

How to Seek Goals And Successfully Achieve Them

the path to your goals

The first month of 2017 is behind us. Gone.

That means that we should all be at least one twelfth of the way to fulfilling our annual goals.

If we’re on the right path.

And we better be.

Because goals are the path and sometimes the prize. Focus on the prize without stepping off the path.

But what happens if we do step off the path?

What happens if despite our long list of goals, we didn’t succeed?

It’s probably not that simple. At least it wasn’t for me.

It’s not that I didn’t succeed. But it’s not like I completely achieved my goals either.
