Just sooo cool.
For those of you that don’t know, NaNoWriMo is the short version of National Novel Writing Month.
I was about to become bummed out this evening because I figured that National meant that it was US national. I was so excited to find I was wrong. I quickly googled NaNoWriMo Jerusalem. A few minutes later I found myself signing up.
Allow me to backtrack. I haven’t yet explained the reason for my excitement.
NaNoWriMo is that one-time-a-year where writers EVERYWHERE go nuts putting down their novel on paper in 30 days. Winners are anyone and everyone that manage this stupendous feat.
Nanowrimo will begin in 6 days – on November 1st. By that time I hope to be so completely organized in every possible way that I will actually be able to be so focused and produce my novel. Truthfully, I don’t know how it’s going to happen because at times it can be so damn difficult to spark an idea. A good idea. (I wish that were the only challenge.) Writing a novel in a month translates into your brain caught on fire with ideas. And well, I’m just not so sure how that happens.
I won’t worry about it at this moment. I’ll just figure, for now, that I don’t yet have all the details to setting my brain on fire. But soon, probably after I’m finished writing this blog post I will go back to nanowrimo.org to get some more information.
I’ll let you know how it goes. And you be sure to do the same if you’ve decided to take the challenge.
