You may have noticed.  You don’t get chosen, appointed or elected to your position in life.

Most of the time, anyway.

You and only you are the ultimate decision-maker.

You choose the goal. You choose the path.

Sounds scary.

You know why?

Because it puts you in the CEO’s chair and makes you responsible. For your future. For your success.

If this thought freaks you out, you should start flexing your courage muscles.

Courage muscles – what’s that?

Courage muscles are what will save you in your quest to become whatever you aspire to become.

There’s not a thing you can do without courage – the ability and the desire to confront the obstacles that may face you.

No matter which field you choose, no matter what occupation, challenges will arise. It’s the nature of your existence.

You’re not always going to succeed either.

But without courage, you’ll never begin your quest, nor will you have the ability to get back up after you’ve fallen.

Nobody dies and appoints you doctor, architect, writer or whatever it is you want to be.

You appoint yourself.

And that requires courage.

There is no self-doubt. There can’t be.

Make a plan. Get out there. Practice, practice and practice some more.

Flex those courage muscles.

You can do it.

And you’re the most important person that needs to believe that.
